About the Workshop
We are extremely delighted to provide a workshop on Unlocking Knowledge: Open Access Solutions to answer the growing demand for librarians and information specialists to adopt open access principles and manage the shifting environment of scholarly communication. This programme aims to give library professionals the skills and resources they need to effectively support open access projects and promote an open culture inside their organizations.
Workshop Objectives:

- Open Access Policies and Mandates
- Supporting Open Access Advocacy
- Copyright and Licensing in Open Access
- Measuring the Impact of Open Access
Course Content (Indicative but not limited)
- Library Management Software (LMS)
- Reference Management Tools
- Content Management System
- Learning Management System (Tools & Techniques)
- Artificial Intelligence in Academic & Research Activities
- Open Source Discovery Tools
- Digital Library Software
- Open Source Operating System (Open OS)
- Open Educational Resources (OER)
- Open Access Policies and Compliances (Copyright, Licensing, etc.)

- Student of LIS and any discipline
- Research Scholar
- Library & Information Science Professionals
- Information Scientist / Specialists
- Research support staff working in academic, research, and public libraries
- Faculty Members
Resource Persons:
- The resource persons are eminent IT Professionals/LIS Professionals/Faculty Members, Information Scientists.
Duration & Format:
- Six-day: Three to four sessions (lectures / demonstration) in a day.
- It will include a mix of presentations, interactive discussions, case studies, hands-on exercises, and group activities to encourage active participation and knowledge sharing.
Pre-requisite:
- Participants must have a laptop/ computer with them for better understanding and practice during the workshop.
- Participants should have strong and stable internet connectivity
- Participants should be conversant with basic ICT terminologies & knowledge
Logistics:
- Mode of Workshop: Online
- Date: 19-24 February 2024
- Duration: from 10.30 am to 5.30pm (Recess: 1.30 to 2.30pm)
- Seat: Limited Seats, will be selected on First-Come-First-Serve basis.
Certificate:
- E-certificate will be provided to the participants after successful completion of the workshop, and filling up the feedback form.

- Registration Fee: Rs. 500/- (five hundred) only for student (including scholar) & Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand) only for practicing library professionals/ working Staff.
- Registration fee is to be paid at the time of online registration
- Last date of the Registration: Register on or before – 15 February 2024
- Payment details: The payment should be made through online. Guidelines to make payment through SBI Collect Module under State Bank of India.
